GOMATER PRIVACY POLICY

Gomater, Inc. (“Gomater,” “we,” “our,” or “us”)
This Privacy Policy explains how Gomater collects, uses, shares, and protects information from all users who access or use the Gomater platform, website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, all users—including Customers and Merchants—consent to this Privacy Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Public or Basic Account Information
We collect and store information necessary to operate the Platform, including:
• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Physical delivery address
• Merchant profile information (for Merchants)
• Order history and Platform activity
This information is used solely for operational and communication purposes.
1.1A Location Information
With your permission, Gomater collects your device's geographic location (precise or approximate) to provide the core function of the Platform: finding local farms near you. Specifically, we use your location to:
• Identify and display farms and farmers' markets within approximately 30 miles of your current location;
• Show the fresh products, pickup locations, and delivery options available to you nearby; and
• Calculate delivery distances and fees for orders you place.
For example, when you tap "Use My Location," we determine your coordinates so we can show you farms within a 30-mile radius and the produce they currently have available.
We request location access only while you are actively using the app ("When In Use"). You may decline this permission or enter an address manually instead, and you can change or revoke location access at any time in your device settings. We do not sell your location data, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking across other apps or websites.
1.2 Information We Do Not Collect
Gomater does not collect, store, or process:
• Full payment card numbers or banking information (all payment data is stored securely via Stripe using their own integration, outside of Gomater’s database)
• NPPI under GLBA
• Tax identification numbers or sensitive personal identifiers (SSN, passport, driver’s license, etc.)
• Health data protected under HIPAA
• Student or education records protected under FERPA
2. USE OF INFORMATION
We use information collected from users for the following purposes:
• Account creation and authentication
• Facilitating purchases and deliveries
• Determining your location to show nearby farms, products, and delivery options
• Communication between Customers and Merchants regarding order.
• Platform maintenance, analytics, and improvements
• Fraud detection and security monitoring
• Compliance with applicable laws and legal requests
Gomater does not sell user information to third parties.

3. SHARING OF INFORMATION
We may share information only when necessary to operate the Platform:
• Merchants: Customers’ contact and delivery information is shared to fulfill orders.
• Service providers: Cloud hosting, communication providers (e.g., Twilio), and other operational vendors.
• Legal or regulatory purposes: To comply with law, enforce Terms of Service, or protect rights, safety, or property.
All third parties are required to use user information only as necessary to provide their services.
4. DATA SECURITY
4.1 Basic Data Protection
We implement industry-standard measures to protect your information, including administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.
4.2 Payment Data
All payment-related information is stored exclusively with Stripe through their integration and outside Gomater’s database. Gomater does not have access to full payment card data or banking credentials.
4.3 Security Limitations
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Users acknowledge that Gomater cannot guarantee complete security of data. Unauthorized access, breaches, or third-party intrusions may occur, and users assume responsibility for protecting sensitive information they provide.
5. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
Users agree not to submit sensitive or regulated information, including:
• NPPI, financial data, tax forms, or government-issued IDs
• Health information
• Other confidential or regulated personal information
Users are responsible for maintaining their account security and protecting login credentials.
6. MERCHANT OBLIGATIONS
Merchants agree to:
• Sell only fresh farm products in compliance with applicable laws
• Maintain required licenses, permits, and certifications
• Ensure product safety, quality, and accurate descriptions
• Handle refunds, returns, or disputes in accordance with applicable laws and their own policies
• Protect customer information obtained through the Platform
Gomater does not verify merchant compliance, but reserves the right to remove or suspend merchant accounts that violate laws or platform policies.
7. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Platform is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
8. INTERNATIONAL USERS
Users accessing the Platform from outside the United States consent to:
• Transfer of their information to the United States
• Processing in accordance with U.S. laws, which may offer different protections than their home jurisdiction
9. DATA RETENTION
Gomater retains user data only as long as necessary to provide the Platform and comply with legal obligations. Users may request deletion of personal information, subject to retention requirements for legal, tax, or operational purposes.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• Gomater is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• Gomater is not responsible for issues arising from merchant misconduct, courier actions, or third-party service interruptions
• Users use the Platform at their own risk
• We provide the Platform on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
